Cloverville Specialized Home and Support Services (SHSS) offers 2 types of services which are Specialized Long-Term Care (SLTC) and Respite Care (RC).
SLTC services cater to children and youth with intensive support needs in specially tailored homes, prioritizing cultural safety, trauma-informed care, and developmentally appropriate environments to foster healthy attachments with skilled caregivers. Involving the child’s family, extended family, and community, SLTC aims for outcomes such as community inclusion, placement stability, and improved emotional connections.
RC services offer temporary relief to primary caregivers of children and youth with complex needs, maintaining essential routines and supports outside the caregiver’s home while ensuring culturally safe environments with qualified staff. Different from other relief options, RC focuses on preserving family units, improving family functioning, and enhancing safety and well-being for children and youth while fostering attachment within the family and broader support networks.
